Christian Jäger, CEO of CloudFest organized this event as a B2B festival. What started out as a round table discussion for hosting providers in his hometown, Cologne has grown tremendously. The event focuses on the entire spectrum of the Cloud. There were presentations and discussions on security, protection, service quality and online ownership. By doing this, CloudFest boasted over 200 exhibitors from around the world with more than 250 experts in the cloud computing field to attract the brightest minds in the hosting and cloud industry. This happens every year with the aim to make it grander than the last event. Event Highlights of CloudFest 2021
Day one featured keynote speaker, father of the World Wide Web, Sir Tim Berners-Lee. The day was filled with presentations from leading companies and their top experts. Attendees learnt about some interesting topics such as; The Trusted Foundation of the Cloud presented by Intel, How Will We Store Exabytes of Machine-Created Data, presented by Toshiba, Hands-On-Sessions on the Masterclass Track and The GAIA-X panel on the future of data architecture in Europe and the World. A work and play balance
The day was brought to a wrap by The Lords of Uptime who indeed came with vengeance serving an awesome music festival. They were not to have all the fun so Mayfly – French Band joined in. What's more, Dell Technologies sponsored Loud in the Cloud music festival.
Day two highlights
Day two was buzzing with names such as Aaron Draplin - Trendsetting designer and art director, Heidi Zak - E-Commerce superstar who is the Co-Founder and CEO of ThirdLove along with James Gosling - the father of Java. Again, the day’s buzz of activities wrapped up with a Connection Party featuring GusGus powered by Sectigo. Electronic-music superstars Reykjavik’s performed live virtually, for a fully pumped CloudFest crowd. The epic party presented in digital style made dancing alone in your home felt like dancing in a crowd. The fun was still captivating digitally! Cloud’s efforts not only featured top-flight speakers from its industry but reached into other worlds to bring more dimensions of creativity and entrepreneurship to the table.
What day three had to offer
Day three featured the accomplished Cassie De Pecol – Guinness Record-Setting Traveller. Influential Sir Alex Younger – Former head of Britain’s MI6: Spymaster was a part of the conversation of security as he presented on Fouth-Generation Espionage: Spy Games, Super-States and Cybercrime. Wrapping up this day’s activities highlighted cloud’s ability to host insightful and educational sessions with awesome parties that allows attendees to unwind and have fun. Cloud Unchained Party powered by Sectigo allowed just that, for attendees to have fun. To keep the fun going, Superfans Junkbox Party had everyone posting their favourite songs on the Cloud’s social wall.
